Description: Basant Panchami is dedicated to the goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, music, arts, and learning.It is celebrated to mark the beginning of spring in India. People worship Goddess Saraswati by dressing in yellow and presenting her with yellow flowers and sweets.Yellow colour reputed to represent prosperity, wisdom and optimism. Today SHK conducted a special assembly and performed activities to teach the significance of Basant Panchami. Students brought yellow coloured food in their tiffins.
